We all know Field Day is the best day of the year, but that doesn't mean it has to be hard!

Here are some things you'll be needing to help run an organized Field Day this year...

  • Volunteers & a Volunteer Flyer to send home to have parents sign up

  • A ready-to-go Field Day "Reminder Flyer" to make sure everyones prepared for the big day with water, sneakers, a change of clothes, sunblock, etc.

  • A Schedule At a Glance to email teachers so they can know when their time slots are and plan ahead.

  • Teacher/Grade Level Rotation Schedules

  • A Volunteer Rotation Schedule with details on their activities.

  • A Field Day Map

  • Station Signs & Instructions

  • Field Day Tips & Recommendations

    • This should include 2 month tasks, 1 month tasks, week of tasks, & day of tasks, etc.

  • A scripted Field Day Reminder Morning/Afternoon Announcement

All of these items are essential to running a smooth Field Day. It may seem overwhelming, but no worries... Let me help you! I've created all of these resources AND MORE!

  • One tip mentioned in the resource is asking your local fire department to bring a fire truck to sound the alarm to let everyone know to rotate.

  • Another is to give two options at each station to help keep everyone having fun and entertained.

  • I try to plan half the day outside for the students, and the other half inside. This year we are doing a carnival in the gym with the help of our PTA!
