Everyone will be "EGG-CITED" for this Easter activity!

This FITNESS EGG HUNT can be used for ALL grade levels. You can modify to make it as simple or difficult as you'd like!

  • For PE teachers, take your students outside OR hide them underneath cones in your gym.

  • Classroom teachers can go outside or hide them all over your classroom while your students are away.

No matter how you use this, your kiddos are going to LOVE it! :)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

CLICK HERE for the exercise cutouts and team sign on my TeachersPayTeachers Store

Head to the store and pick up some LARGE easter eggs.

  • I got a 20 pack for $1.98 from Walmart!

SET UP:

  • Print and cut out all exercise squares.

  • Laminate if needed

  • Fill (LARGE) Easter eggs with exercise cutouts.

  • Fold if needed

  • Scatter cones all over the playing area.

  • Hide Eggs under each cone.

  • Place an “Easter Basket” for each team along the perimeter of the playing area.

  • This could be a real basket, bucket, or hula hoop.

  • Place team color signs by each Easter basket.

DIRECTIONS:

  • Divide your class into equal teams of 5 or less.

  • Each team starts behind an “easer basket”

  • One person from each team runs out and tips a cone onto it’s side to see if there’s an egg underneath.

  • If they find an egg of their team color, they run it back to their team and place it in the basket.

  • If they find an egg that isn’t their team color, they must run it back and the entire team needs to do the exercise inside 5-10x before the person who grabbed it can go hide it again.

  • After each person’s turn, they run to the end of their line and the next person can go.

  • Once they have all their eggs, their team wins! (If there is no egg under a cone, it must stay tipped over)

MODIFICATIONS:

  • Students can grab any egg and do the exercise before the next person goes. (like a relay race!)

  • OR students grab eggs, but do NOT tip the cone if they’ve taken one.

  • If a student looks under a cone without an egg, that is their turn and the next person goes. The team with the most eggs at the end wins!
